Meditation

The major mistake, today and throughout history, is to take the quiet mind as the basis of meditation. Though this was warned against by the Buddha and every genuine teacher since, still whole systems are devised, teachings promoted and books published, which are based on the brain state of no-thinking. No-thinking is not No-mind (Empty-mind, Buddha mind, Deep Mind). When the Deep Mind appears, it is independent of whether the thinking mind is quiet or remains fully active. It is also independent of outer emotions and physical movement. The true test of the development of the Deep Mind is its ability to remain fully functioning as the outer activity of thoughts, feelings and movements within yourself and those around you, press in apon you. Only long training under a true teacher will lead to this.

As the old Yogi Mounimaharaj of Rajasthan said: "All realised beings say the same thing - but who listens to them?"

Transcending Brain Consciousness. Brain consciousness is directly connected to the activity of the neurons both in the head and spread throughout the body. These neurons divide functionally into 3 groups - sensory-neurons, motor-neurons and inter-neurons. ...more

Deep-body Cultivation. Basic body energy is based in the perineum between the legs, rising during refinement to the abdomen (Lower Dan Tien). This energy circulates in a network of 8 special channels. Follow the paths with the Mind visualising a stream of golden light, while listening to the resulting body sensations. ...more

Deep-emotional Cultivation. The Personal Energy Field is centred in the area between the solar-plexus and the breastbone (Middle Dan Tien) rising, during the process of refinement, from the Lower Dan Tien.
Take 3 deep breaths. Each inhale lift the light from the abdomen to the solar plexus, and each exhale expand and intensify a cloud of golden light around the body. ...more

Deep-mental Cultivation. The Energy rises further during the process of refinement, from the solar plexus to the area of the pituitary gland in the centre of the head (Upper Dan Tien).
Inhale deeply lift the light from the solar plexus to the centre of the head, then exhale to expand and intensify a cloud of golden light around the head. ...more

Interference from Jinns. Most teachings warn about opening yourself up to the inner levels through meditation without being closely connected to some developed teacher and their past teachers. This is because of the Jinns. Many years ago one of my friends bought an old house but when he went to renovate and live there many strange things happened. Noises, closing doors, objects flying around the rooms. ...more

Ramanamaharshi: "Setting apart time for meditation is only for the spiritual beginner. A person who is advancing enjoys the deeper state whether they are busy or at rest. While their hands are in society, their deeper self remains aloof."
