Taiji Energy Art
Energy training is central to all health, martial art and higher aspects of Taiji. For this training to be effective it is necessary to understand the difference between the superficial-mind (which is based on brain-consciousness) and the Deepmind (which is based within the energy field itself).
Qigong (Chi Kung). Qi is a general Chinese term which covers both the air and all grades of energy in existence. This allows any training method, from calisthenics, through breathing exercises, to meditation, to be called Qigong. Most forms of Qigong are positive and useful even though much of it is no more than simple unrefined exercises passed on by inexperienced people and elevated to mystical heights by immature students.

Taiji Power Secrets. We trained long hours in the Solo Form, Pushing Hands and Quick Fist, which he knew very well. He showed us a lot of the extra training and body conditioning methods Master Huang Xingxian had taught him in the early days, later giving us the medicines to heal the bruises. It was interesting to observe his own training methods. Each day as well as the Taiji (Chi), he trained other internal exercises and meditation.

1. Natural Circulation of Energy.
Releasing the hold of the Mind on the Body while maintaining a light awareness of the body, allows the Energies to circulate freely and naturally while accumulating where necessary in their natural Power Centres.
